paranoia

In our world of blazing fast progress in technology, it's easy to become a paranoiac. When you learn that there is a product which is sold legally, that logs everything you type on your computer - well - maybe a thought passes your mind to take some defensive measures. I even found a page that cites reasons why key logging is not a thing one might be accused of.

OK, the companies that sell this stuff count on the same morality of a husband who has enough reasons to hire a detective to spy on his wife. They don't say that he may be a paranoiac. Or a person with an inner drive to spy, to gossip, to learn what's hidden in other people's minds. Man, isn't that sick? They say that in that and that year two suicides were prevented because parents were able to trace their children's intentions using the above programs. Yeah, I think that maybe thoughts of violent behavior would crawl into me too, if I was faced with such things..
Anyway - in the beginning I was just curious to find out if it's secure enough to type in my credit card number on public computers - well, and I found out that there are legal key loggers out there that advertise proudly that they are totally invisible - they base on the fact that every person has a right to know if something is destructing his/her relationship with other people. Well, I think that maybe these programs are for sick or malevolent people, and their reasons for existence are either to fraud, or spread paranoia in people's minds..

There's another program that even advertises that it can attach itself to an email, install itself, open backdoor in the recipient's computer and send screenshots and keystrokes to yourself. It's a free world, baby..

Here's a nice article to check out:
