garbit

garbit as in "garb-age" that sounds like "grab-age"
and not at all like what is for throwing away
or the 90's dark pop band of the same
moving name

(i learned form computer games that "garb" stands for "garments" which, in turn, i also learned from computer games, stands for "clothes" - the last one in the "future wars" adventure game to be exact)

(image from the site that it links to)

this post has nothing to do with clothes.
or garbage, for that matter.
it might have something to do with bits of garbage
though
as what do little empty thoughts
become "after" having been hatched,
"after" having materialized in a flimsy translucent bubble,
(with a reflection of a window, always)
and "after" having disappeared with an unformidable fade-out
effect into the great unknown
we all will visit some day?

bits of garbage. garbits.

as i'm searching inside the internet k-hole*
for things that would connect me with life (of all things bright and rare)
in a state that one might be inclined to compare (pleased to discover that it rhymes unintentionally)
with a FOMO "thing" (not in terms of meeting other people, but connecting with past memories,
dead leaves, hearful thoughts - since all i am left now are petty cynicisms and chasmic anticlimaxes),

"there",

(reading a review about NEO Scavenger, an indie strange game i cannot find the courage to play for longer than an hour or two, but which always leaves me with a strange feeling of familiarity and longing - when i tend to think about it - when i do this doesn't matter - it just comes to mind sometimes)

i found this
and through "that",
this, which is something
one would want to visit in that
exact desperation of immobility incurred
by chronic burnout and cozy loneliness you are
unwilling to part with which (i feel) causes you (me) harm.

another thing the above game review site mentions is another online
interactive "thing" called one million checkboxes, that literally contained
one million of them (or more?), that people started to visit in swarms and use it
in all kinds of creative manners unbeknownst to mere mortals like yours truly.

*sometimes i use words without knowing their meaning and looking them up afterwards - usually they're kind of proper, because i learned the gist of their meaning by other means, reading other articles at some part in the past, and have remembered the feelings they would evoke

easter 2025 (how long till 2525? thoughts about doomsday begone!
but nah. they're always there)

a bonus throwback with things to do that emulate imperfectly the elevated state of having nothing to do, the ZEN state, the "δεν" state, the frivolous insult to all the people that have chosen the path of everyday martyrs of Responsibility (to Themselves, to their Brethren, to the Society) - a game about debugging and fixing some kind of "assembly" code? yeah, my... i will say it. but maybe i won't in the end.
